Someone to talk to.

Writing is a solo activity. It takes a lot of time to daydream, think, and hours of writing, revising and tweaking. It’s easy to get stuck in the world of your thoughts. It can be very hard to look at your writing objectively. That’s why it’s so important to have someone to be able to share and talk to about your writing. It doesn’t matter if it’s someone close to you or a writing group. It does need to be someone you trust. You need to have someone who will give you an honest opinion about your writing but be able to do it in a constructive way. I feel extremely fortunate to have the people in my writing group. I know they will let me know when I’ve made spelling and grammar mistakes.  They will let me know when something is or isn’t working in a piece that I’ve written.

Who do you share your writing with?
